2008 Greenwich Point One Mile Swim

Saturday, July 12th - Sponsored by the Town of Greenwich and Greenwich Swim Committee.

AWARDS: In each age group, awards to the top 3 overall and at least the top 3 in each age group. Age groups will be 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 etc. NEW Kids Race for 12 & Under! Awards and refreshments will follow the event. Wetsuits allowed, but competitors wearing wetsuits will be ineligible for awards.

FEES: $35.00 for entries postmarked by June 30th, $45 for entries postmarked thereafter $20 for participants 13-18 years of age. Kids Race! $5 for children under 12. Refreshments, commemorative T-shirts for all participants. NO REFUNDS. In the unlikely event of cancellation, some credit will be given for future Greenwich Swim Committee events. 

GENERAL INFO: Race start is 7:30am. Check-in opens at 6:30. Water temperature should be around 70 F. Heats will be by age group with colored caps provided. Ample parking and toilets are available on site.    Course will be patrolled by Greenwich Point life guards, and Red Cross personnel will be available as needed. Directions: Take I95 to Exit 5, right on Route 1 (East Putnam Ave.), first right on Sound Beach to the end, right on Shore Rd. Metro North/Old Greenwich station about 2 miles from the beach.
